Rectal varices (or haemorrhoids) are nodules located in the anal canal as autonomous vessel structures. However, they often become the cause of various disease symptoms, which most often include: bleeding, itching, nodules falling out and sometime pain caused by formation of new clots. In every case of the disease, especially in case of bleeding, a full diagnostics of anus and rectum has to be performed, preferably by a proctologist.
